An Event for Moms and Teen Daughters
Bestselling author Dannah Gresh hosts LIVE mother/daughter-connecting event in State College on April 21st!
STATE COLLEGE, PA—Know a TEEN girl who’s asking hard questions about sexual choices? Wish someone could help open up your daughter’s heart so you can hear what’s in it? Experiencing that typical mother/daughter “drift” in your relationship? Look no further than Pure Freedom!
Created by bestselling author, speaker, and State College local, Dannah Gresh, Pure Freedom is not your typical purity event. You’ll figure that out the second you get pelted by a stuffed monkey from a giant slingshot. It’s more like a talk-show-meets-game-show experience addressing all the sticky issues today’s teens face: sex, guys, ‘friends with benefits’, porn, fashion and true beauty. Of course, with a little bit of fun and insanity thrown in for good measure.
In three hours, moms’ witness their teen’s heart unfold as her defenses drop through powerful live worship and dynamic teaching segments. Combine that with a rowdy game of Are You Smarter Than Your Hormones, fun times of worship with singer/songwriter/speaker, and State College’s own, Stephanie Martinez (Peters), hilarious talk show chit-chat, and a fashion show featuring the season’s hottest (and modest) teen trends, it really is THE most fun a teen girl will have connecting with her mom or mentor and digging into God’s Word.
Dannah is thrilled to be making at tour stop in her hometown and says,
“This is where the entire ministry across the nation takes place, so it’s a delight to be able to share it with the churches, families and friends who fuel the spiritual life of our team!”
Research indicates that a mom who stays involved and engaged in her daughter’s life is the greatest risk prevention against things like poor body image, sexual impurity, depression and eating disorders. Moms will walk away with practical tools to help coach their teens into making healthy about sex and relationships. Teens leave with honest answers combining the facts of social science with the truth of God’s Word.
You might have to drag your daughter there, but she’ll thank you on the way out!

What people are saying about Pure Freedom…
Pure Freedom “totally rocked” last night! My daughter & I had an amazing time. I was excited to take her thinking (narrow-mindedly I might add) that this event was JUST for her. I never expected to feel the way I felt or to be touched as deep as I was last night. Thank you for such an amazing experience, not just for my daughter, but for me as well.
What an amazing night in Ohio! Thank you for your ministry and the truths you shared tonight…WOW! God is Good! Lives were certainly impacted!
The Pure Freedom event was amazing! As a junior high youth leader, I have found myself using the “Truth or Bare” challenges to encourage the girls to dress modestly by following those simple rules you provided. [The event] presented those guidelines in such a fun, non-threatening way so the girls really heard what was said without immediately putting up their defenses. The event really opened up the communication lines with my daughter as well as the teen girls and their moms throughout our youth group. It was such a worthwhile event. P.S. The trunk monkey video was extremely funny!
We had a blast!
We witnessed God move mightily during the Pure Freedom event—not only were teens touched by Dannah’s message of purity and modesty, but many moms were moved by the talk on being careful with the words they use to describe their own bodies and the impact their words and actions have on their daughters.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was wonderful witnessing this event tonight!
AWESOME night! Thanks Dannah and team. We took the long way home and had some great follow up conversation. A night we won’t forget.
